Pete Way, UFO bassist dies at 69

Pete Way, best known as the bassist of UFO, Waysted, Fastway, The Pete Way Band has died. He was 69.

Pete sustained life-threatening injuries in an accident two months ago and succumbed to his injuries resulting in his death this morning with his wife at his side.

Way dealt with a number of health issues in recent years. In 2016, he suffered a heart attack, two years after he overcame prostate cancer after being diagnosed in 2013.

Pete had recently finished a solo album, “Walking On The Edge”, with producer Mike Clink (GUNS N’ ROSES’ “Appetite For Destruction”).

His biography “A Fast Ride Out Of Here”, was published in 2017, and an album, “Amphetamine”, which is currently out on Cargo Records.
